About 3000 years ago the Chinese invented the spinning wheel. Since then, the Chinese textile industry has evolved so as to cover 50% of the world textiles production alone.

Nowadays, the heart of this evolution has a name: CTA (China Textile Academy), the largest and most important research and development institute of the Chinese textile industry that was established in the 50s and later absorbed by Genertec Group in 2009.

Having cutting-edge equipment for the development of new textiles and new fibres, the CTA controls 5 among the most important research institutes in the textile sector, leads a group of high-tech companies, collaborates with over 100 firms and universities worldwide.
The Academy contributes to grow the whole Chinese textile industry by fostering the transfer of new technologies, offering support, technical advice and control services on textiles to all the companies working the sector.
Boasting strong connections and experience thanks to the CTA, in 2005 Genertec Italia accessed the import-export market related to the furniture and industrial segments.
